Global Renewable Power along with 3 other GPSC’s holding own and operate 9 solar farms with the total capacity of 39.5 MW. The 9 solar farms are located in 4 provinces, consisting of Lopburi, Suphanburi, Phichit and Khon Kaen. Currently, all power plants can generate and supply electricity to the power grid distribution system for Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), regarding the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a period of 25 years, with two agreed rates of Adder rate of BHT 8 per unit (for the first 10-year of the PPA) for total 3.6 MW and a Feed-in Tariff rate of BHT 5.66 per unit for total 35.9 MW. These power plants have been commercially operating since 2014-2015.
Chanthaburi’s Shrimp Farmer Cooperative is located in the Na Yai Am district of Chanthaburi province. The solar farm is situated on a 65 Rai land owned by the Shrimp Farmer Cooperative which provides additional passive income for the Cooperative to further benefit the local community. Additionally, the solar farm provides employment and community outreach to engage and better the quality of life the locals. Its property tax also goes to the local municipal to build public assets that benenfit the community as a whole.
GPSC operates as a power, steam, and utilities producer and distributor. In addition, the company invests in other companies that generate and distribute power, steam, and utilities, including related businesses, both domestically and overseas.
Glow Energy Plc (Glow) and a trusted partner have signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for a rooftop solar system at the partner’s factory in Amata City Industrial Estate, Rayong Province.The rooftop solar system has an installed capacity of approximately 1 MW and will comprise over 3,000 polycrystalline silicon panels covering a roof area of 8,500 sq.m. The installation works on site was commenced in end of May 2018.
As part of the “Wang Chan Valley” initiative, PTT has partnered with VISTEC and the Ministry of Technology and Science to create an Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi) in Wang Chan district, Rayong. This project is aimed to venture into a Smart City to create an innovation system for young entrepreneurs to explore the new S-Curve. The project is currently operating in phase 1 serving as an innovation incubator with an aim to expand into commercial area within the area of 760 Rai.
Glow Energy Plc signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) under which Glow will supply electricity generated to a trusted partner and other users. The powers are generated from the PV solar system installed on the roof of the parking area at a factory in the WHA Saraburi Industrial Estate in Nong Khae, Saraburi province. The rooftop solar system has an installed capacity of 867.24 kW which will comprise of more than 2,600 polycrystalline silicon panels. The project has completed construction and achieved COD on the 24th November 2018.
