This solar plant generates 2.96 MW of power through its solar farm and rooftop. It is the largest project for self-consumption in Thailand and expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,100 tons of CO2 equivalent annually. The whole 5 MW of electricity generated enables savings of approximately 4,400 tons of CO2 equivalent per year. It is now venturing into a new project in Banchang, Rayong to provide additional renewable energy to the community. The 1 MW facility is operated by GPSC in conjunction with Thailand’s leading hospital to provide electricity to the patients as well as directly to the grid. The electricity useage within the hospitals are used for the water heating system as well as other crucial functions to operate a hospital. In terms of charitable controbution, the hospital also provides free healthcare, knowledge, and medical equipments to the local community.
